This link is for section 245 in TITLE 8 OF CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS (8 CFR) (I think!) . This CFR may have other sections of use for us. For example, there may be section 240 that explains some other GC stage.
Please post a link that is table of contents of CFR. That is, it gives all section titles in CFR: Sec 1, Sec 2, .. Sec 245, Sec 246, ... Thanks!

Mailed I-485 on July 19th
RD is July 20th
ND is August 17th
Did not file AP or EAD because I was think it may slow down my application, but I was just guess on this beside I don't need to change job or travel.
Guru people, on my notice it says above my Name A094 XXX XXX is this number my GC number?

I have one question, did you have any trouble while getting mortgage approval? Do you think in the changed scenario in US housing market, people like us will have problems in getting approval b'cos of our residency status and recently tightened regulations?
I know many people who bought home while on H1B, including me. I did tell the Bank/Credit Union, I'm on H1B and my application for GC is under process and all they requested is to provide a letter from my employer about my employment, my h1b papers, etc and I'd no problem in getting a Mortgage Loan. This was a year back.

I think you also need a Canadian address.
For people who have already landed and were not able to get a PR card applied, please follow the following link and apply for it.

I see a pattern here.Looks like the EB2 folks are getting EAD renewals much faster than the EB3 folks.EB3's are getting screwed even here.

I 140 approved - Dec 2006
I 485 Date received July 2nd 2007
RD - checks were cashed (date - July 30, 2007)
FP - Got a mail from USCIS regarding finger printing (scheduled - August 29,2007)
So far no receipt by mail, application is at Nebraska.
Yo man, you are one lucky dude! Nebraska hasn't issued many fp mails to July filers.

I did try to talk to customer care but it was of no help.
They tell me to wait for 30 days and sometime 60-90days.
They say you will become actual permanent resident when you get the card The card is important.
You now USCIS don�t know when they will change their minds.
To better be on safe side to get it stamped on my passport. I took info pass on 8-11-08 it will be almost 30 days,
let�s wait and see

Incorrect. One is permanent resident since the date of I-485 approval. Card is just a physical evidence indicating your status.

It seems to me that there is a discrimination going on with EB3 India. So far there are not many approvals why???? They are trying to suppress this EB3-India category why??? lot of approvals in EB2-India? why??? don't say they are less cases.

GCStatus did not mention anything about Labor or I-140 fees here. Nor did he mention, he paid them.
He refers to all the DOLLARS he has paid for , which means, all EAD and AP renewals ( For self and spouse) , Additional Lawyer fees incase of incorrect NOID, additional Bio-Metrics fees.
Wait till you hear the actual Lawsuit. Long way to go. But your post helped us to clarify what we are talking about to rest of the folks like you, incase, they misinterpreted the information.

Mine was a EB2 India, Feb 2006 PD. I was hopeful in the month of august, but then I had lost hope because everybody was saying visa numbers got over. However, surprisingly they approved the case in September. Looks like CIS has many aces ups its sleeve. It never fails to surprise us.
Also, I received only one soft LUD on my application, then suddenly it is card production ordered.. wow.
Anyway, it FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOM...............

If opinion polls and media coverage are any indication, it appears democrats shall rule
the house.
For us the best congress would be the one which passes SKIL bill.
It was unfortunate that despite Republicans ruling the house, they did not even discuss
anything on immigration, specially for high tech skilled workers, even though SKIL was
introduced by Republican leaders.
I hope they do *something* during lame duck session.

Do not fight we are EB2/EB3/EB1. This is law and instructed by politicians. Divide and rule.
Same thing they did and now and you see the result in IV forum where people fight that create below category
1.Based on educations (US masters/US bachlors/Non US masters/Non US bachleors etc etc)
2. Based on experience - US experioence non us experience
3. EB1/EB/2 EB3
4. L1/H1/b1/b2
5. Family based
6 etc etc
If you count the division you can say based on heights, color, marries and non marries status etc.
So stop fighting based on politicians category and help IV to goahead and fight for all.
I personally feel when you fight you have success for one group and no success for other group. So do not feel that EB2 are getting beenfits. I myself is EB3 and expecting GC by 2026

I have EB2 PERM and EB3 I140 approved. Since my EB3 PD date is earlier than EB2 PD , my lawyer filed my 485 with EB3 I140.
Is there any way to find from 485 receipt or application which I140 was used for filing ?

Well then you should have done it long time back . You are now going for your citizenship and everyone on this forum knows that.
i dont think we are going to solve anything by fighting among ourselves here... we have to take the fight up with USCIS and not among ourselves... the plight of EB-3 at this point is far far worse than EB-2... atleast we are current.. they are not even that.... we have to somehow include all fractions into what we do at this point....
EB-3 deserves a GC as much as an EB-2... and so let's not create boundaries here... United we stand... divided we fall...
what are our options.. to make the 500 pound gorilla kneel down ??
i remember a famous saying.. pen is mightier than the sword... so what are our options guys ???
