to generate more support, I live in Bay area and I am very willing to participate.but cant at such short notice. we need to generate some media awareness before we organize a rally so that we get coverage.. any idea who is organizing this?
Honestly i dont think any one person should "organize" it. If something goes wrong, then organizer will be held which is un-necessary trouble for some one wanting to do good!

That's the entire reason for my participation in this forum. However, every time that we suggest a separate bill for whatever benefit to address our issues only, we have been told that it can't be done.

We can keep CIR aside for some time. Are there any trails going to introduce any bill to get EAd before Priority date become current. It gives great relief to most of the people. why donot we support to core team in this issue?

yes lets put the burning act aside. Also it should be clear in the rallies that it is LEGAL immigration that we are talking. I still see some comments on the news stories. "All Illegals should be sent away"
My point is that any time we talk about immigration, common people think illegal as thats the only side they are exposed to.

That's why I said before;some people are pretty sure that if democrats win, we will be alright. In my view it may turn out to be the opposite. Democrats favor illegal immigration. I think they are less inclined to pass our SKULL bill alone. I strongly believe that that democrats would rather attach our bill to the CIR/illegal alien amnesty bill, which still will be controversial to pass. Even if Sen. Specter and his team manage to flood America with illegal aliens, then we may take a hit from the collateral effects caused by millions of applications at USCIS.
If Republicans win, we are problably in a better shape.
Did anyone see Byron Dorgan's (Democratic Senator from North Dakota)interview on Stephen Colbert last night? This guy just wrote an anit-outsourcing book (http://www.amazon.com/Take-This-Job-Ship-Brain-Dead/dp/031235522X --no I am not plugging his book!) and he is full of 'they stole our jobs' rhetoric. This is typical outsourcing/globalization-bashing democratic mentality and it's disturbing to seeit still persists 2 years after Presedential elections.
Am I the only one who thinks that if Democratics takes over the House, we are screwed?
If Republicans win, we are problably in a better shape.

To all sorts of flower campaigns,
Let us first complete July 10th mission flower campaign, where many people here including me has sent flowers for july 10th delivery.
Let us see its impact by July 11th and then try another round by sending flowers to local senators and congressmen with simple message of costs involved and lost money and oppurtunity by revised july bulletin.
Also, unless we make explicit mention of costs involved, i think impact wouldnot be felt.
Please plan the missions one after the other.

I am seeing that reedandbamboo is considering for EB2 only. We have to include EB3 too for law-suit. I beleive that we will have more than 1000 people if we inlcude all categories.

Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.
So what were your expectations from EB3-I in those past years .... to fight for EB2-I and write to USCIS saying please don,t issue GC's to us but instead use those Visas and issue it our EB2 - mates.

I am a 2 July 2007 filer. Many SR's and calls later no FP.But I applied for EAD and AP renewal last week.I got the FP notice in mail today.
So I think that the renewal may trigger a FP notice.

My situation is not any better. I am working for a GA based company since 2001 got stuck in the backlog center with Priority Date Oct 2003 (labor apporved in Nov 2006 I-140 applied in May). After calling the company HR for 30-40 times in last one week I was able to talk to HR guy, he said the ceo will allow only those who have approved I-140 to apply for I-485. He also said then once priority date retogressed again I will be able to get 3 years H1B ext. that will be good for me.:mad: I think these desi blood sucking compnies will be obsolete in couple of years. If USCIS make the rules better.

consultant does not consitute employer-employee relationship. This WILL NOT satisfy the full time permanant employment.
Oh yeah. All big time consulting companies must lay off foreign workers then, myself included. My perm was filed as IT programmer, IT consultants job code. So am I not a full time employee of consulting company? Is USCIS fool to approve my I140? Not once but twice!
